Сформирани през 2010 в Гърция групата бързо набира слушатели на световно ниво. Известни с динамичните си авторски песни на гръцки и английски език музиката им пренася слушателя в носталгичната обстановка на класическият суинг – претъпкани зали, класа, и танци до сутринта. Името на групата „speakeasies“ произхожда от наименованието на нелегалните барове по време на Сухия режим в САЩ.
Групата е излизала на сцена с множество съвременни джаз легенди като фурията в електросуинга Parov Stelar и американската суинг и ска група Cherry Poppin’ Daddies. През 2012 свирят на международния джаз фестивал в Банско и имат участия и в София през 2013 и 2016 г.

An unforgettable night of swing featuring the magnificent Speakeasies Swing Band!
On 27.10.2025 in The Brick Port
Founded in 2010 in Thesaloniki, Greece the band quickly gained international recognition. Famous for their dynamic tunes, sang in both Greek and English. Their music opens a portal in time to the Golden era of jazz with its crowded bars, with guests dazzling with classy attire, swinging until dawn. The name of the band “speakeasies” is based on the term for illegal bar in the time of the Prohibition era of the US.
The band has played with the king of electro swing Parov Stelar and the American swing and ska band Cherry Popping Daddies. In 2012 they were part of the Bansko International Jazz festival, and played two gigs in Sofia in 2013 and 2016.
